For the Creamy Beef and Shells:
- 8 oz (about 2 cups) medium pasta shells
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Optional Add-Ins:
- 1 cup frozen peas or diced carrots for added vegetables
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat
