Creamy Beef and Shells

Ingredients

For the Creamy Beef and Shells:

  • 8 oz (about 2 cups) medium pasta shells
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1 cup frozen peas or diced carrots for added vegetables
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for extra heat
