Philly Cheesesteak Pasta

Instructions:

  1. Cook the pasta:
  • In a large pot of salted boiling water, cook the pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  1. Cook the beef:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil.
  • Add the sliced beef and season with salt and pepper. Cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  1. Sauté the vegetables:
  • In the same skillet, add the sliced onion and bell pepper. Sauté until they are softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 1 minute, until fragrant.
  1. Combine ingredients:
  • Return the beef to the skillet and stir in the beef broth, heavy cream, and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer and let it cook for about 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
  1. Add cheese:
  • Remove the skillet from heat and stir in 1 1/2 cups of the shredded cheese until melted and creamy.
  1. Mix with pasta:
  • Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss everything together until well combined and coated in the cheesy sauce.
  1. Serve:
  • Transfer the mixture to a serving dish or individual plates. Top with the remaining cheese and garnish with fresh parsley.
  1. Optional:
  • For an extra cheesy finish, place the pasta under the broiler for a couple of minutes until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

Tips:

  • Feel free to add mushrooms or other veggies for extra flavor.
  • You can use different cheeses like cheddar or mozzarella if you prefer.
  • For a bit of heat, add sliced jalapeños or red pepper flakes.
