Instructions:
Prepare the Patties: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with Italian seasoning, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly mixed. Form the mixture into four patties and set them aside.
Toast the Buns: Heat your grill or grilling pan while also preheating the broiler to medium-high. Lay the split hamburger buns on a baking sheet and toast them under the broiler until golden brown. Remove the tops and set aside.
Grill the Patties: Grill each beef patty for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until they are cooked to your desired doneness.
Heat the Sauce: While the patties are grilling, gently heat the pizza sauce in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally to prevent burning.
Assemble the Bottom Halves: Spread half of the warmed pizza sauce onto the bottom halves of the toasted buns. Sprinkle half of the shredded mozzarella cheese and distribute half of the pepperoni slices evenly over the sauce.
Broil for Melting: Place the bottom halves back under the broiler for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Complete the Burgers: Place a grilled patty on top of each prepared bottom half. Then, layer with the remaining pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, and pepperoni slices.
Final Broil and Serve: Return to the broiler for another 2-3 minutes or until the additional toppings are melted and hot. Finish by placing the top buns over each burger. Serve hot and enjoy your delicious Pizza Burgers
